Rev Anthony West

Richard Wilfrid Anthony WEST, vicar of Brockham 1950-86, was

born in 1920. He went to Magdalen College Cambridge, BA 1941,

MA 1945, and Wells Theological College, deacon 1943, priest 1944.

He was curate of St Martin's Dorking 1943-47, St Mary's

Leatherhead 1947-49, vicar of Brockham 1950-86, and also priest-in charge

of Betchworth 1980-86. He retired in 1986 to Cerne Abbas,

Dorset, continuing an active village ministry in the neighbourhood.
