Edward Alexander Cooke
Edward Alexander COOKE, vicar of Brockham l92l-29 , was born
about 1857. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1879;
deacon 1881, priest 1882. He was curate of Clone, co Leinster
1881-83, Kilrosanty co Waterford 1883-85, and Kilnasoolagh co
Clare 1884-87; curate of Tamworth 1887-88, vicar of Attleborough
1888-92, Reddall Hill 1893-1907, and St Paul's Brentford 19O7-21.
He was vicar of Brockham 1921-29 (pop'n 1140), and continued to
live in the vicarage until he died in 1931. He wrote The Diocesan
History of Killabe (1886), and Life and work of St Columba (1888).
